Location

Ignace is located on Highway 17 at the junction of Hwy 599 which runs north to Savant Lake and Pickle Lake.   Ignace is just under a 3 hour drive west of Thunder Bay / a 3 hour drive east of Kenora / a 3 hour drive north of Fort Frances via Hwy 622 and Hwy 11.  

Ignace is a popular starting point for fly-in fishing adventures throughout Northwestern Ontario and is home to Ignace Airways which has been providing exciting and memorable fly-in fishing adventures in the region since the 1950'5.

Fly From Toronto

If you are travelling from Toronto to the Ignace area, your most convenient travel option would be to take a scheduled flight from Toronto to Thunder Bay.  Upon arrival in Thunder Bay you would connect with either a wheel plane or float plane charter direct to Ignace or your remote lodge or outpost.        Request A Charter Quote.

Fly Wheel Plane From Winnipeg or St Andrews

Ignace has an airport with a 3,500 foot asphalt runway, making it accessible to a wide range of charter aircraft.  You could for example fly up to 8 passengers from Winnipeg or St Andrews Airport direct to Ignace with a twin engine Beechcraft King Air.  Request A Charter Quote.
