Attawapiskat is a small First Nations Community located at the mouth of the Attawapiska River where it empties into James Bay. There are no fishing lodges, outpost camps nor outfitters operating out of the community.
About the only tourists that visit Attawapiskat are groups that take a canoe trip down the Attawapiskat River and plan to get picked up at the Attawapiskat Airport at the completion of their trip
If you need to visit Attawapiskat, your most cost efficient option is taking a scheduled flight with Thunder Airlines out of Timmins. Timmins is the closest wheel plane charter operation to Attawapiskat.
