Sea North Tours is located in Churchill on the shore of Hudson Bay in the Province of Manitoba and is blessed with many beluga whales that travel down from the Arctic Ocean, through the bay, to the Churchill River. 60,000 beluga whales inhabit the Western Hudson Bay region and about 3000 of those are found at Churchill.
Whale lovers, this is your chance to be in the heart of all the action when 60,000 Beluga Whales (the highest concentration in the world!) descend upon Hudson Bay. You will rendezvous with the whales on the Churchill River and into the Hudson Bay as they feed on schools of Capelin, Arctic Char, Brook Trout and Cisco White Fish.
During July and August, the Churchill River is teeming with beluga whales who migrate into the warm, shallow waters to give birth and feed on fish. These friendly and inquisitive creatures will capture your heart as you enjoy their whale song by boat or, for the more adventurous, in the water with a Zodiac, kayak or stand-up paddleboard adventure.
