The peak times for Polar Bear viewing in the Churchill area is the later part of October through November. It is the most popular time for visitors coming to Churchill, so if you plan to visit during this time period, you need to make reservations well in advance to ensure accommodations.
You can also see Polar Bears in the summer months, but it requires travelling by boat along the Hudson Bay Coast to regions further from Churchill.

But be warned - there's no guarantee you won't see snow falling at this time of the year either. This however is the peak time to view the more than 58,000 Beluga Whales that congregate along the Hudson Bay coastline as well as the Churchill and Seal estuaries for feeding and breeding.
You have several choices when it comes to getting up close and personal with the Beluga Whales.
